When it hurts all over?  Moist Heat

As health practitioners, you’ve most likely heard from clients complain that “it hurts all over”.  You may have also felt this yourself after a long day of physically assisting others.

There are many causes of all over pain and sensitivity; Fibromyalgia, rheumatic diseases, drug side effects, vitamin D deficiency, and sleep deprivation to name a few.

Localized pain on the other hand can be attributed to stiffness related to osteoarthritis, muscle knots or trigger points and most kinds of cramping. Postural strain, menstrual pain, neuropathic and restless leg syndrome are common causes.

Then of course there is acute soreness from over-exertion like your first ski of the season or your first trip to the gym after a period of little or no activity.

All these types of pain are perfect candidates for Moist Heat Therapy!

Here’s what Paul Ingram from PainScience says ...

“For most local heating, I recommend seeking out a Thermophore, the Rolls Royce of heating pads: large, heavy, thick, and moist. Yes, moist — they produce a moist heat with “a special tightly-woven fleece blend cover which retains moisture from the air.” If you leave a Thermophore on a plastic surface, there will be beads of water under it five minutes later. The moisture captured from the air by the Thermophore conducts heat far more effectively than a dry heating pad. Luxurious!"

Introduce Moist Heat into your practice.  Thermophore is on sale now!
